Biographies - Shobha McClean

Shobha McClean has over 20 years procurement and sales experience and is also a senior level ICT strategist. Having focussed much of her corporate and consulting career on I.T. and Telecoms, she really is a specialist in what is a high spend, complex, category.

She has held numerous senior level positions including Head of IT Procurement at DaimlerChrysler and General Manager of IT division at Computer Express. Her category coverage has included telecoms- both land and mobile, hardware, software licence management, hardware and software maintenance and data centre hosted services for project spends ranging up to £100m.

With a strong eye for detail and a particular focus on quality, Shobha has undertaken a number of pan department strategic initiatives including business process change, outsourcing (including TUPE) and value assessment of IT services of whether to outsource or keep it in-house.

As a consultant for eight years, including working for PriceWaterhouseCoopers, she undertook a wide variety of procurement related projects for a stellar international blue chip client list including American Express, Woolwich, Barclays and DaimlerChrysler Group.
