Biographies - Kevin Stovey

Kevin Stovey, the Managing Director of CrimsonSky, has over 20 years best practice Procurement and Supply Chain expertise.

As a consultant for the last three years, Kevin has already undertaken major projects for Deutsche Bank, Barclays Bank, RR Donnelley, Bahrain Telephone company and Sama Airlines.  He has delivered significant savings for clients through a range of projects from quick wins sourcing programmes, to a strategic supply chain re-engineering programme.

Prior to becoming a consultant he worked for John Laing Construction and latterly British Airways where he held a number of senior management positions, including Head of Global Logistics Procurement and Head of Property and Professional Services - this also included membership of the Terminal 5 leadership board.

As a recognised strategic procurement practitioner, he has set up and run several procurement departments from green field situations. He was also at the forefront of a number of major change initiatives transforming procurement within British Airways through the development and implementation of category management, strategic sourcing and e-sourcing.

Kevin specialises in maximising market opportunities, particularly through outsourcing. For example, he developed a communication and document management strategy within British Airways, which led to the outsourcing of British Airways print and document management services and multi-functional device supply. The three year deal, valued at circa £45m, resulted in savings of approximately £11m with £5m being delivered in the first year.
